    Description

    At Armstrong Flooring, our Payroll Specialist supports all payroll-related tasks. To be successful as a payroll specialist you should be able to investigate and resolve payroll issues and ensure strict compliance with company and regulatory standards. This position will be a hybrid working model.  New Location Coming Summer 2021:1770 Hempstead Road, Lancaster, PA 17601. 


    Salary: $50,000 - $65,000, based on experience (Gr. 6/7/8)

    How you’ll contribute to the team:

    • Demonstrates knowledge of federal and state wage and hour labor laws as related to payroll calculations.
    • Exhibits an advanced level of knowledge of US Payroll taxes as related to the calculation of gross to net, as well as an understanding of all related reporting requirements, including the annual W-2 reporting process.
    • Builds strong working relationships with the plant management teams.
    • Serves as subject matter expert within specialized areas beyond gross to net calculations.
    • Recognizes and documents areas for process improvement and participates in implementation.
    • Demonstrates proficiency and has the knowledge to answer complex payroll processing questions in a professional manor.
    • Identifies areas for growth and recommends training for self and team, for the purpose of continued development.
    • Employs advanced customer service and problem-solving skills relative to customer, plant, and vendor inquiries.
    • Analyzes and reports individual and team metrics to identify inefficiencies within the payroll process.
    • Exercises timely and accurate decision-making with complex data inquires to quickly and effectively resolve issues resulting in customer satisfaction.
    • Reviews complex reports and spreadsheets as requested by management.

    Requirements

    What you'll bring to the table:

    • GED or High School diploma required.
    • 2+ years related work experience or equivalent

    We'll be excited if you have:

    • Demonstrated expert US payroll knowledge including CPP certification level III
    • Canadian payroll processing knowledge
    • Associates or Bachelor's degree in Business/Accounting
