    Job Title: Senior Payroll Specialist (Human Resources)

    Department Number: 9015

    Reports To: Group Leader and/or Manager and/or Director

    Position Location: Lancaster, PA

    Number of Direct Reports: Zero (approximate)

    FLSA Status: Non -Exempt (Exempt/Non-Exempt)

    Position Summary:  Maintain a high level of knowledge of payroll regulations and

    processing, Lawson, and multi-state taxes, perform all processing independently; Lead all payroll and tax filings for all Business Units; Support the HR/payroll group to serve all Eurofins US employees

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • ·         Applies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriate
    • ·         Demonstrates and promotes the company vision
    • ·         Regular attendance and punctuality
    • ·         Provide computer support on Lawson; perform analysis, design, support upgrades and programming to maintain existing systems and create new systems
    • ·         Assist with bi-weekly payroll processing and perform independently as needed
    • ·         Research, set up and test multi-state payroll taxes independently
    • ·         Perform after-payroll reconciliation, and perform processing such as creating ACH files, check requests for garnishments,  and special pay reports
    • ·         Reconcile monthly payroll journals against GL accounts and ensure all numbers tie into GL; research and resolved all discrepancies
    • ·         Work with Eurofins US business unit leaders, prepare and create biweekly payroll reports for BU leaders and vice presidents
    • ·         Process, review and approve federal and state tax filing and payments
    • ·         Oversee the registration process for appropriate withholding and unemployment accounts with any new states
    • ·         Assist preparation and processing of W-2's and annual filing
    • ·         Process, review and approve state unemployment payments
    • ·         Process, review and approve applicable state quarterly reconciliation for Withholding Tax
    • ·         Process, review and approve quarterly FUTA payments
    • ·         Process, review and approve any quarterly and/or annual federal tax filings
    • ·         Oversee and file workers’ compensation premiums for state-regulated programs; determine and drive process improvement initiative to create more efficient processing
    • ·         Assist payroll integration of new companies
    • ·         Make recommendations on new or improved systems and processes
    • ·         Perform any other duties to ensure the smooth running of the payroll group
    • ·         Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner
    • ·         Performs other duties as assigned

    Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
